Józef Piłsudski: Father of Poland’s Independence - The Exhibit

This is an eight frame biographic stamp exhibit using a display treatment. The exhibit details the life and times of Józef Piłsudski (1867-1935), Polish soldier, statesman and leader of his nation. The chapters deal with the major influences in his life as well as his accomplishments, legacy and global recognition to the present day.The exhibit is organized as six chapters, which are not listed chronologically per se, however a chronology is followed within each chapter. Over 60% of the items used in the exhibit are philatelic thus carrying the story. However, a wide variety of non-philatelic items are used throughout, all of which are described for the readerThis display exhibit provides a detailed and factual presentation of the life of Piłsudski using a wide variety of philatelic material, artifacts and ephemera. The exhibit itself is an excellent example of the display treatment format, and Piłsudski has never before been the subject of a philatelic exhibit. Read more
